Dualism |

In theological terms, Dualism is the belief that there are two equal and opposite forces in continual conflict and that the outcome of the conflict is in doubt until the very end - if that end should ever come. If Christians allow themselves to see the destiny of this world in terms of a battle between God and Satan in which the eventual outcome is not already known then they fall into the error of dualism. While Christianity recognises that there is a very real battle between God and Satan it has taught from the beginning that the outcome is known to Satan as well as to God and that that outcome has been revealed in Scripture. For Christ has already overcome the works of the enemy. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work."( I John 3:8 ) |
