Picture of Frank Lane I am an overweight 63 year old supply teacher. I am now in semi-retirement having lost a kidney to cancer in October 2005 (I also lost a lot of weight at that time and am no longer as overweight as previously). I live in Ashby de la Zouch (yes it really does exist) in North West Leicestershire.

Until November of 2001, I was married to a wonderful lady named Chris. Sadly, Chris collapsed with a haemorrage on Remembrance Sunday of that year and died the following morning. SmudgeI share our house with a beautiful black and white cat. He is about ten years old. We did have two cats but the smaller of the

Sox two (Sox) got himself fatally run over in September '98. Smudge is more of a home loving fellow. Smudge got his name from some rather uneven markings on his face. My own theory is that the angel with the paint brush slipped. Sox had white paws on a mainly black body as if he was wearing white socks. Sox is seen here in the asparagus ferns they adopted as their jungle.

I am a committed Christian - as was Chris. I believe in the present reality and availability of all the spiritual gifts for the whole Body of Christ, while recognizing that not all Christians will necessarily manifest such gifts. I am a member of

Ashby Baptist Church.

Chris was a fair hand at needlework and, as well as making clothes, she enjoyed designing and making banners and also made the most beautiful pictures using Cross Stitch. Chris enjoyed gardening. I enjoyed looking at (and eating) the results. Now, of course, I must learn to look after the garden myself. I play "Folk Style" guitar and have been known to write the odd song now and again. Incidentally (and to answer one or two queries) that really is me at the top.

For my other main hobby I "Call" for

Barn Dances.

I am rather attached to my computer. I enjoy playing about with HTML and am a member of the HTML Writers Guild. For further details about the Guild click on the Logo below.
